Hi,

I have rented a house and received wrong electricity bill. Instead of 700/- the bill has come as 2700/-. I told my owner to rectify this. I was about to vacate the house in one week time. Owner has deducted 2700/- and said they will rectify it and refund the amount once next bill is generated. But the owner has paid 2700/- towards electricity bill and no efforts were seen to rectify the bill. My owner not even giving the original electricity bill to get it corrected by myself with MSEB.
Owner has collected Rs.400/- per month towards the maintenance charges in the last four months, which was no where mentioned in the tenancy agreement.

Can I claim for the amount I supposed to get? What is the procedure?
