i am lodging this complaint against all builders who r charging car parking & other charges which r not mention in agreement.even though govt. has decided car parking charges r not compulsory but many builders r charging it. even other charges like development charges, mseb charges, intercom & grill charges etc. combines all these charges 3lacs plus.
govt. is making any rules regarding property but not any single builder follows it, then no point in making these kind of rules.

I agree with you and totally support you in this....I have also paid for stilt parking but I have been given a parking which is small for my car as there is a pillar at the entrance of the parking area....I am still parking my car outside inspite of paying for stilt parking..

Now the consumer has to wake up . Even after Hon.SUPREME COURT ruling the builders are demanding money (hard cash) for stilt and open car parking.

The flat buyers now need to unitedly and bluntly tell the builders that they will not pay extra for Parking.
Once the premises is occupied by all flat owners, they need to get together and solve the parking puzzle amicably. Doing so will save a lot of money from going into these builder`s accounts.

Once the buliding is occupied, the flat owners can use lottery system to allot car parking slots. some may be in stilt ,some may be outside.

The parking slots may be rotated once every three years or so .thus those who had stilt initially will move to open in subsequent three years and so on.

Those who have already paid parking charges to builder ----------- If they have paid after the supreme court ruling, they should fight hard with builder to get it refunded or get it adjusted as an instalment for a slab or plinth etc.

WHY PAY MONEY TO THESE BUILDERS WHEN THE APEX COURT`S VERDICT IS CLEAR . ?

WHY PAY TO THEM, WHEN SOCIETY MEMBERS CAN SETTLE THINGS AMONGST THEMSELVES AT ZERO COST.?

This is in reference to the flat which I have booked in Bhubaneswar where the builder is asking for price for allotting open parking space. I would appreciate if somebody could please advise me about the legality of such demand & kindly clarify whether the recent supreme court ruling for the open/stilt parking spaces will also be applicable in Orissa.
