I am the nth victim of G.Krishnappa. I am not sure how many more victims are there. Krishnappa's mode of operation is simple. He will ask an exorbitant deposit in cash. Then, when you inform him that you wish to vacate the premises, he will tell you a sob-story that he can't pay back the deposit as he is seriously short of money and that he doesn't want a single pie from your deposit. He will delay as much as possible. Then, he will suggest paying back the deposit in cheque. The cheque will obviously bounce as it will be from a non-existant account. Then, the tenant will file a police complaint and somehow he will escape from paying the amount in full. This way, he swindles Rs.20,000 to Rs.50,000 from each of his tenants. The guy must be a loan shark who lends tenants' money for high interest. His house is full of expensive stuff -- LED TV, Blu-ray Home theatre, modern sofa set...and he is building a new apartment in the same locality -- all with tenants' money. How can we stop this guy from exploiting hapless tenants? There must be a permanent solution somewhere...

    Guys,

I am also victim of this Krishnappa G

I have taken the flat on rental basis in Jan.2008. The agreement is registered, it was done on Rs 200 stamper paper. Now the owner is not refunding the full amount of deposit to me. He is keep on postponing the dates.

It would be good if all of us meet together and teach him a lession so that he will not repeat this in his life time.
