This complain is to Kolkata Municipal Corporation against the rubbish Collector of the locality, Madurdaha,Kalikapur, Kolkata-107.The person is either the government servant or on contract under the Municipal Corporation but it seems he is not aware of his duties.His duty is not only to collect the garbage of the individual houses but also to keep the roads of the locality clean.There are lot of noticeable trash scattered on the roads around our apartment.We had requested him personally to clean it.But he refused outright and the reason given by him is that he is very busy man and according to him we should be alert and catch hold of them who have thrown those junks. My question is that isn't cleaning the roads in and around the locality their part of duty and responsibility? And on top of this he demands for Puja Bakshis, I dont know for what.My request to the Municipality is that please train these door-to-door trash collecter about their line of duities and responsibilties before employing them.

I Am a resident of Gagan Vihar Extn.,Delhi-51,Street No.3 called as Vakil Lane, (Location:-very near to and in front of Khosla Apartment of Gagan Vihar,)

Subject:-Cleaning of SERVICE LANES,

Approximately from one year 4-5 constructions are ongoing in this street, and in the back side of this Lane i.e. service lane, people are using the service lane and the whole vacant place for dumping the garbage and the labour employed in constructions is using this lane as a Urinal in a residential area., as a result spreading diseases and is severely affecting the health condition of children’s and aged people,

There is lot of noticeable trash scattered in this service lane around back side’s area of all residents' floors. We had requested to the trash collector to clean it and to the labour of the constructors to clean it, but they refused outright and the reason given by them is that it doesn't come in their duty and according to them we should be alert and catch hold of them who have thrown those junks in the back side.

My question is that isn't cleaning the SERVICE LANES,roads, 'in and around' the locality their part of duty and responsibility are not these trash collectors and cleaners are being paid off? And on the top of it all residents give them Baksheesh on Puja occasions etc.so as they also may feel happy,

My request to the Municipality is that please train these door-to-door cleaners and trash collectors about their line of duties and responsibilities for cleaning of ‘in and around’ the locality including the service lanes of the localities.Also regulate some rules for the Builders/Contractors for everyday cleaning by their Labours in and around the construction areas,

Interestingly only this street no.3 has its own and separate resident welfare committee/association, Health Inspector and area councilor are already aware of the situation ,but there is no action that has been taken till today from any of the person,

I hope, for everyone's welfare an early action will be taken and matter will be resolved at the earliest.

I urge you to look into the issue at the earliest and bring this to the appropriate person for action.
