TO:
Commissioner, MCD
(South Zone), New Delhi
Dear Sir:
Residents of D Block Saket, New Delhi-110017, wish to bring to your notice that
the street leading from METRO Exit Gate Number 3 (starting from residence Number D-69-to D-121 Saket )
is severely damaged during Metro construction. This road has become an accident prone area.
This situation is further worsened by the fact that Heavy vehicles are using this inner road as a short cut between PVR Saket and MB Road leading to Mehrauli.
There are no speed breakers on this road , No signage like (Caution ! Accident prone area!, speed Breaker Ahead, Speed limit 20 kph, No parking, No waiting etc.), There are no guide maps to show Metro riders
the way to PVR Anupam Saket, Saket Courts, DLF malls etc. These short-falls encourage strangers to approach residents on the pretext of seeking directions, risking their privacy and security.
The original security gate (near Exit Gate 3) put up by RWA in the year 2000, was removed by METRO in 2008, and that is still pending restoration. We have already written to METRO and they have promised action.
WE request repair of Saket Marg 7, 8,9 &10 affected during METRO development, Installation of speed breakers, Signage like speed limit and restricting the free flow of heavy vehicles through the residential
D- Block, Saket to check smoke and noise pollution.
Thanking you in anticipation
Saket residents
