I am residing in a LIG flat of 40.59 sqmt. area at IIB/142/F2, Sector-2 Vaishali, Ghaziabad U.P. -201010.
I have purchased the flat in 2008 and paid the tax of Rs 1560/- for the year 2009-10, as i was not aware of the charges calculations by GNN. My neighbour also residing in the same building with same area have got the correct bill of Rs 600/- for the same year. When i visited the office, the staff told me to deposit a copy of the Registry to allow them the change in the records and told me that amount will be adjusted in next year. almost six after on 17.11.10 i received the bill for year 2010-11, with the same amount and i was again told to deposit the registry on 18.11.10, but on 18.11.10, they refused to correct the records and told me that there was a mistake and the amount whatever they have billed have to be paid by me and cannot be adjusted. They have been miscalculating the amount each year for the last eight years (for the previous owner also) who have not paid taxes till i bought the flat in 2008.
It is ironical that MIG flat in front of me is paying only 850/- per year (with the floor area 100 sqmt.) as compared to mine which is 40.59 sqmt. It seems there is something going on wrong in the office of GNN, which needs to be corrected
How can the i get back the refund of excess amount i have paid till date and how can i govt. servant refuse to correct the facts and records even after showing him documentary proofs.. may pls guide to tackle these corrupt officials and rectify my records ..
