Good Housekeeping - subscribtion scam
At the outset - 'Good Housekeeping' magazine seems to be a great magazine from a respectable publisher.
However, my experience post subscribing to this magazine (in Feb this year) has been pretty disgusting. I stay in a prime area of Mumbai - Colaba, but my magazine, if it ever reaches, reaches in the middle of the month. Complaint to their subscription division only gets me a phone number of their local courier - with whom I am supposed to sort out the issue! Sounds ridiculous - but I have no option, but deal with a small time courier service (maybe cost saving by Good Housekeeping by seeking the services of a un-professional courier - all at my expense). In the last five issues - I have already missed two issues, including this months - still to reach me - its 26th Jul today!!
And to top it all - the promised subscription gift - some good looking tea-cup set - has yet to reach me! Though have made innumerable mails - they have a standard excuse - it is out of stock - will reach in three weeks - this was about some 12 weeks back!! Am surprised they still offer the out of stock tea-cups for subscribers - thus this reeks of a scam to dupe gullible subscription. At least if there is a delay, they should have the courtesy to inform the subscribers - but no way, their subscription divisions is too busy to even mail a courtesy mail for the delay!!
However good their magazine would be, the approach to subscribers is disgusting!! Wondering if there was a way to refund my subscription and discontinue the same!
Request some help!
