We booked ticket on 2-6-2009 and date of Journey was 14/06/2009. However we could not travel due to certain personal limitation. Hence, cancelled the ticket on 14/06/2009.

When I did not receive the refund in three days I contacted Customer Care of IRCTC who told me that it was not cancelled due to some technical error (possibility). Hence, I need to File TDR to get the refund. I filed the TDR on 19-Jun-2009 and kept on following up with IRCTC for 6 months without any success.

At the end of year in December 2009 I was informed that money could not be refunded because as per railway record we had already travelled on 14/06/2009.

It was shocking reply from IRCTC.... I kept on asking to give me some contact details of the person I can talk to in person to get this issue resolved. However they kept on misguiding me..
