I recently bought a Hyundai I20 diesel Car. Cars facing braking problem from past some time. On applying Brakes the car start vibrating. I think the problem are in the Car braking system. The car has ABS inboard.
First Problem occured on the first month. The company guys mistook me and said problems are due to the Wheel Balancing. After few weeks the car went to the dealer . The problems were not rectified. This time the car mechanics told me that the disc of the brakes was not in proper shape and that the car starts vibrating on applying brakes. The service guys mended the brakes on the lathe machines.

Now the vibrations have stopped at lower speeds but it still continues for Higher speeds at 90-100kmph.
I am planning to take the company in the consumer courts. The car has travelled mere 8000 kms and not even 3 months passed. The problems is not idenfied by the dealer or may they are not replacing the parts for the same.

I need suggestiong fromt you guys what sould be my future course of actions. I think the company is liable for the problems in this earlier stage of problems before the warranty period.

I am planning to go to dealer and will ba asking for replacement of the car.

Your suggestion will be of immense help.

I purchased a Hyundai i20 from Asset motors.
I am facing a few problems in the car:
1. Suspension problem:
the car makes a lot of noise when it hits any potholes. Such problems are really not expected wen your car has just run mere 2000 kms.
2. An average of just 7.5km/ltr. Which is very very b ad
3. Steering has become tight with time.

I bought my car in July 2010.
Have complained about the same to modi motors a n umber of times.
My complaints have been registered and have worked on my car. But my probles have increased .... not the suspension is making more noise compared to before.

I am pretty angry on Hyundai motors and really upset with the quality of the product offered.
I am planning to file a case against them in consumer court.

Just per chance i have stumbled onto the website. As per all the other comments, I also bought my I20 during May 2010 and also within the first 2 months experienced problems with the breaking system. I was told that the discs must be "sceemed" and then the problem will be one of the past. this had to be done a second time and now it is even worse than before.

I also have a strange sound coming from the rear when i break. Almost as if the brakes are stuck and suddenly loosens to start working.

It honestly feels as if the whole suspension is not working correctly.

what am i to do?

I have bought an i20 Asta Diesel model from Charisma Hyundai 6 months ago but I have faced problems with Braking . though the vehicle claims to have ABS but it has very poor braking and the vehicle skids when braked hard. Has anyone faced a similar problem with i20. ? I have given a written complaint to the dealer when the vehicle was taken for service at 6 months but to no avail. What can be done?
