Dear Sir/Madam,
My vehicle met with an accident on 23 July 2011 in Mandi (H.P). On 24 July I sent the vehicle to Competent Automobiles Pvt Ltd, Mandi for repair work. The Dealer took 50 days for repair & delivered the vehicle on 12 Sept. The Vehicle was delivered in very bad condition.
ü Company Workshop has done extra work without my written or verbal consent & even till date I have not been informed that which extra work has been done.
ü The parts replaced are faulty. The left head light has already started developing Vapor’s inside the headlight.
ü The A/C work done was faulty. The same can be verified from the Berkley Automobiles (Authorised Maruti workshop) where I again took my vehicle for service.
ü The vehicle is stinking badly till date. I have got it checked from local vendor & surprised to found that the Floor Mat of the vehicle was full of MUD, WATER & ANTS which confirms that the vehicle was not cared properly & even before delivery nobody bothered to check why vehicle is stinking.
ü The major safety part, the seat belt, was not in working condition.
ü The other authorized workshop has confirmed that the Shocker of the vehicle is damaged.
and most important:-
The company has charged composite VAT & Service Tax both on the Service Charges which is completely unjustified.
Though I was charged approx Rs 91,000/- for the repair works but I strongly feel the work done is not even worth of Rs 9,000/-. Over-all, the service done as compared to bill is below the acceptable standard.
I had lodged my complaint with the MSIL & the competent automobiles pvt ltd but did not get the satisfactory response.
I have received a letter from competent automobiles pvt ltd dated 22 Sept Ref No CACL WKSP/2011-2012/139 560 for taking my vehicle to Mandi (H.P) & they also wrote that the VAT & service charges taken are as per excise & taxation norms.
I have replied to the them through mail that –
1. As per letter, you have confirmed that the VAT & Services Tax Charged in Bill No. ACC/300815 (Vehicle No CH03Z-5832) is as per excise & taxation norms, however I would like to bring it in your kind notice that I have taken a clarification from the Excise & taxation Commissioner-Mandi, where in the Department has confirmed that “*there is No VAT tax leviable on the labour*.” (As a supporting document , I have mail confirmation from the Dept of Excise & Taxation, H.P)
2. As per our telephonic conversation, I have already confirmed you that I cannot bring my vehicle to Mandi-H.P since the cost involved in bringing Vehicle from Chandigarh to Mandi is very high.
Dear Sir/Madam, i seriously feel that that i have been cheated on the Tax front and i have not get the required services.
Till date, I feel mentally harassed when-ever i drive my vehicle.
Kindly help me to get the value for my money.
Your's truly,
Ankur Gupta
