I would like to say my bitter experience and idiotic irresponsible attitude from" FORD Company" and dealership (PVS FORD CALICUT).
I had purchased a FORDIKON1.4D from PVS.AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY(P)LTD,KTC Nagar,Meenchanda,Calicut,Kerala.673018.on 27-2.2009 with the Invoice No.A800403 for the amount of Rs.5,19,577.00.My car chassis No.MAJAXXMRTA91J17231 and Engine No. 9U17231.My vehicle No.KL58B-5454.
I had taken one year extended warranty too.
I had already given a complaint about the abnormal sound of engine and the revolving sound of the shaft soon after one month of the purchase date to your customer care.As regarding that, one technician from
FORD authorized service center at Kannur checked my vehicle and replied as that is normal for the Ford ikon and that was my mistake to accept their words blindly.
After the 20000KMS on 03-03 service from kannur service center , started the major problem for my car.On that day , after the service my car "lost the power and the steering became tight ,my car cannot move
after 50km of speed with full acceleration too,engine warning light was blowed".I called many times to service center , they did not even response to my words properly and not even willing to take the car to solve the
problem immediately and advised that to stop driving.The next day i took my car to the same service center and they told " that they had rectified all the problems of my car".Then After I felt the power drop of the car and the steering became more tight than previous.I complained again and they told me, that will rectified after 2 weeks and for that they need an equipment from calicut center. I was a regular visitor of that service center after that incident.After 3weeks at the end of March,I had gone to Cochin for an official trip in my car,I think it is 260Km away from my place.After driving more than 116km my car had suddenly stopped.I just checked the engine and experienced that the engine became hot and i noticed the high speed sound of the fan.I contacted the service center and they told me that its not a major problem you can drive.I had gone and returned that trip with the frequent complaint of pulling drop and steering tight. I brought the car to the service center again,they checked and told that there was no problem,fan speed is common to all IKON CAR. As usual i have entered my jobs driving the car almost 60kms daily.
After a week ,exact date was 10th April 2010 I had an official trip to Bangalore in my car.On the way I had to drive 23kms of high range road to Bangalore.After driving 93kms,the high range road started my car couldn't move, the steering became tight and heard an abnormal sound from the engine room.I opened the bonnet, there was the splashed coolant every where in the engine room. I called the service center and they told me that i can drive to Bangalore after top up some coolant.I just
driven for some distance but the car couldn't move. Then I called the MD of PVS ford Calicut and explained the bad incidences ,he informed the GM of Service, and he said that he will send the Helpline vehicle to that
location.I returned back 90kms and met the technician. They checked it and failed to diagnose the problem.I returned back to home and went by another vehicle.
Then after 5days I had another incident of the same an called the GM calicut and He brought my car to Calicut service centre.Exactly on 17-4-2010, they changed the MOTOR AND FAN OF ENGINE COOLER UNDER WARRANTY.
(Invoice No.CRIAA00250ABDated on 17-4-2010).They told me the problems were solved.After getting my car from there, the problem existed and I noticed the shortage of mileage and the tightness of steering too .Now the mileage is decreased to 12Km per litre.I lost all smoothness of my car. I complained again,the service manager of PVS FORD CALICUT told me that they had already informed FORD INDIA about the problem of my car and they will send the full set steering for rectifying my steering problem and the other problems will solve later. Again I had another trip to Bangalore ,on that day also I had the same PROBLEM, MY CAR CANT MOVE ON THE HIGH RANGE ROAD.It was on night .I called the service manager, he didn't respond to my call . I cancelled my trip and took my car with a pickup van from there .Next day i called GM PVS FORD CALICUT ,complained the matters, he sent a technician to check my car at Kannur.But he cant diagnose problem there,and he told me that they need my car for few days for
rectification.I had given my car to PVSFORD CALICUT on 11-5-2010 to 14-5-2010.They changed,
COOLER FLTER WORTH Rs. 5674.00
HOUSING assay WORTH Rs. 3633.00
SWITCH SPEED CONTROL Rs.303.00
COOLANT Rs.1031.00
AND thermostat,coolant reservoir.etc under warranty with reference to the invoice no.CRIAA00729AB.
Then after I had an official trip to Cochin on15th may.I had driven the car for 58Kms again had the same problems,of slowing of my car and steering tight and the heat indicator goes up for a while.Coolant was splashed etc.
I called the GM and I am not satisfied with the condition of the car and I cant drive.He again told me to send the car for repairing.
For the past SIX MONTHS I have gone through the same cycle of experience from the Ford Company and Dealership. I had already given EIGHT TIMES to the AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER'S OF FORD(PVS FORD CALICUT AND KANNUR)for repairing,the vehicle condition is getting worse day by day.I had contacted all authorities of FORD COMPANY for getting Justice regarding my car problems.
NOW I FED UP WITH THE IDIOTIC AND IRRESPONSIBLE ATTITUDE FROM THE FORD COMPANY FOR RESOLVING MY CAR PROBLEM.I HAD NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS KIND OF ATTITUDE FROM ANY OTHER CAR COMPANY IN MY PAST.I AM ASHAMED
OF BEING A FORD CUSTOMER.
HERE I AM SHARING MY BITTER EXPERIENCE AND AGONIES WHICH I HAD SUFFERED.
