Dear GM,
KIND ATTENTION : SALES MANAGER, GMI (NORTH INDIA)
This is to bring to your notice that I have faced multiple issues with my AVEO bearing registration number DL 3C AJ9750 from the day this car was bought in Dec 2006.Front Suspension issues starting from the 3rd month that the car was bought. They still continue and prove the poor workmanship and quality of parts which GM is making.
The Latest issue to hit me is FAULTY STRUT manufacted by you. 3 Struts have failed and leaked oil within 1.5 Yrs. And I am told by Mr Rahul (From GM) who is handling Regent Automobiles in Okhla Delhi
that even though I paid for the Strut 1.5 Years back (Which was replaced again in warrantly after 6 Months) that the part will not be covered in Warranty and all they can offer me is a 50-50 agreement wherein I Pay 50% of the Cost. He also was very Rude and lacked customer handling skills and was not ready to listen to what I had to say.
I would like to point out that the Car belongs to an Army officer and we are well known for taking care of our driving habits and care of the cars owned by us.
is this how GM wants to fool customers ? The Question is not about money, it is about the trust in buying Quality parts from GM and I know that GM is aware of the STRUT issue in the Aveo. It is a Shame that Managers like Rahul who handle these issues cannot accept that the issue itself lies with bad manufacturing rather than putting the blame on customers without verifying the facts.
I would like to escalate this matter to the North Zone after sales manager to have a look at the work done on this car ever since it was brought and to help restore lost faith.
In addition to the above, I would like to point out that
a. I was never allowed to extend my original warranty from 2 Years to 4 years when I contacted your helpline. You stated that the Scheme was closed. (Why did you promise me this when I brought the car)
b. Guys in Regent Okhla are "technically incompetent" and they have too much work in their hands for which customers are sent away with fictitious assurances that the problem is resolved so that they may come to the workshop some other day with the same issue.
Other issues that I still continue to face
1. Horrible front Suspension (too noisy and rattles all the time even on small potholes)
2. Pulsating Noise from lower suspension at speeds above 60
3. Grunting noise from the AC compressor.
Seems to me that you manufactured a Piece of JUNK and dont have the guts to take ownership and harass us by always involving the workshop and staying out of the picture like peeping toms.
