    Angry Honda city i-vtec

    BELOW IS THE MAIL SENT TO MR. RAMAN KUMAR (ASST. GENERAL MANAGER, SALES, RING ROAD HONDA, MOTI NAGAR, JAIPUR AND customer_relations@hondacarindia.com but till date i havent received any reply from them.
    every time i drive the car, i feel cheated by ring road honda.

    This is to inform you that I had purchased a new Honda City VMT on 31st October, 2009 (Reg. No. DL 4C NC 4504) from RING ROAD Honda, Moti Nagar, New Delhi and that in all probability RING ROAD Honda has given me a refurbished car. There are a couple of reasons that have given rise to this apprehension like:-
    1. The ABS Sensor for the rear left wheel was missing from the car. The ABS indicator on the indicator panel was on. I did not expect Honda to deliver a car with a fault so I took the car assuming that it was normal and the ABS indicator always remains on. On giving the car for 1st service to Sunshine Honda, Jaipur I came to know that this was a major concern and Ring Road Honda is at fault if they have delivered the car in such a condition which could lead to a major accident. However, the ABS sensor was fitted by Sunshine Honda under warranty.
    2. Since the time of purchase, there has been noise and hardness in suspension . I have been making complaints about it since the 1st service. Representatives at Sunshine Honda told me that the sound was normal as it was there in all cars of this make. To make believe, they made me drive some other cars of the same make and to my utter dismay, I felt the same noise and hardness in all the cars. On contacting Ring Road Honda for the problem, I was given the same reply but they too could not sort it out. All Honda representatives feel the noise but they say it is normal because it is there in all the cars of this make. If the problem continues to haunt users of all cars in a make then why is it not solved instead of misguiding the car user by saying that this is normal? And if this is the scenario, then why is HONDA changing the Power Window Master Switch in the older model of Honda City? The problem with that master switch was there in all the cars of that make. So even that should have been considered to be normal.
    3. The inner and outer roofs of my car have gaping spaces in between them, which to the best of my understanding and auto knowledge is an issue that will lead to faster collapse of the inner roof over time. When contacted, Ring road Honda again asserted that this too was normal as it is there in all cars of this make, leading again to a stronger belief that I have been cheated by saying that a brand that claims to add “power to dreams” is turning my sedan dream into a gross nightmare and terming manufacturing mistakes as ‘normalcy’.
    4. The Power window master switch is making noise. I have been making this complaint since the 1st service. This problem was solved at one instance by Sunshine Honda, but the problem resurfaced in less than a month.
    5. The power window motor of the front right door is making scratching noises.
    6. The inner panel of front right door is making rattling noise.
    7. There is a lot of noise from the dashboard of the car like some small parts are loosening and falling apart due to reffiting/remodeling, and thus does not feel like it’s a first hand drive.
    8. The black color on the dashboard is peeling off,again tending to worsen the fear of having been cheated with a refurbished car while paying for a brand new one!
    9. There is vibration on picking the car in 1st gear, that comes only with prolonged use and depreciation in engine value/quality and not in new purchases.
    10. On ignition and moving the car in reverse gear, there is a strange turbulent noise in the car. It feels as if some metal part in the car is broken or is vibrating and making noise.

    The above mentioned issues have all been checked and identified by Ring Road Honda, but no action has been taken in this regard besides suggesting changing an entire plethora of parts in my car!

    I bought a Honda car so that I could get a silent and peaceful drive along with comfort. But unfortunately there is so much noise in the car from every part that I find the amount of Rs. 9,50,000 wasted. I could have got a better drive and a more silent car in much less amount and I feel this is just because RINGROAD HONDA has tried to cheat me by giving me a refurbished car instead of a new Ex-factory product as expected of a brand of this repute and stature!

    Due to deliberate negligence on Ring Road Honda’s part, I could have met with life a threatening accident because of the removal of the ABS Sensor.
    Honda Dealers need to be reminded every weekly/fortnightly to solve these problems after which I perforce have to neglect my work and go to the Honda work shop and spend the whole day there to get my car to perfect condition, which they fail to keep up too in any case!
    So far my losses along with the car quality are cutting deep holes in my pockets, and have frustrated me to the hilt and forced me to pen down my dilemma relating to this purchase.

    Sunshine Honda has repeatedly insisted that I send in my car for a repair where they could change an entire lot of parts and even then not sort out the entire defect that the car has.
    Being the avid auto enthusiast that I am I strongly believe that replacing “original” parts (which in this case, I fear are all refurbished), tends to hamper with the entire life and performance of the wheel, and in case I want to compromise there I would rather get a scrap value four wheel and then modify/alter all parts and make a car to my choice instead of paying a hefty amount for the brand that promised to make my dream a reality!

    I hope I have been able to put my discontent across to the manufacturers of this brand and can elicit a written apology from RINGROAD HONDA as well as total refund/replacement of the vehicle. I insist that stringent action be taken against franchisees like ring road Honda who are not only putting the reputation of the brand at stake but also numerous lives of customers and their families by delivering faulty vehicles to satisfy their needs and fill their pockets.

    I had to write this mail in a desperate effort to bring into your notice a serious case of negligence on part of a reputed Honda Service station and its staff.
    The case dates back to 8th june 2010. I brought in my Honda Accord 2009 Registration No.:PB10CN-5132 into Ring Road Honda Sector 17 Gurgaon. The Car had starting problem and few dents on the body. Apart from this every accessory and engine part were intact.
    The Service Adviser duly ****yzed whole car, got his Mechanic and dentor engaged and gave us a very convincing idea that it will take at the most 20 days to put the car in perfectly working condition.
    So good so far, the problem started after that and havent ended even till now.


    Since then i have excruciatingly traveled 90 kms every week from Delhi to you service station and spent almost thousand rupees every week just to listen that "the car is almost ready and collect it next week." Same story have been repeated the every so called 'next week'. Does it really take 4 months to rectify a car in a so called state of the art Honda service station. Do we really have to push that much for repairing every car that enters there?

    may be your production of honda accord 2.4 is minimum 1 per day but my car is built but there are no part available i always heard that sir parts are not available
    i bought this car for reputation of Honda not of Ring road honda they are destroying the image of Honda


    Last week I again reached Ring Road Honda in a view to get the car delivered. I got the shock and surprise of my life. Surprise, that this time it was ready to be delivered, Shock that the bill was for Rs 1 Lakh 67 thousand ONLY. The bill was nicely prepared 6 pages of bullshit material that had been issued for this car. Can you imagine that this list contains even my car's Display module which was working perfectly fine and had nothing to do with starting problem.
    I cant stop myself from comparing my car to a patient who came to a clinic for a fever and went back with his liver and kidney replaced and even paid for them.

    I would request that someone responsible look into the matter and get my car delivered without the associated agony.

    I sincerely hope that the request doesn't fall on deaf ears this time and i am not forced to put this issue on a bigger and public forum.
