I bought the 2 Din AVN for Honda City (MMI-HON11) with navigation system from Map my India online website. I paid for it by netbanking on 14th July 2011.
Before making the purchase I had contacted the dealers of MapmyIndia here in Calicut, Kerala. They quoted about 46500/- for the unit whose price was displayed as 44,990/- on the website. So I called up Map my india customer care who said that the unit costs only 44990/- and that I could order it online.
I confirmed regarding the installation and after sales support and i was told that there would be no difficulties.
I received the unit sometime in the second week of August. And since then I have been having trouble with it.
I got it installed at the Car Dealers as advised by Map my india before the purchase. But the navigation system was not working. The SD card was replaced by Map my India.
The new SD Card worked well for about 200kms( calicut to coimbatore) . The car was parked in the garage and started again next morning on our way to Salem. But the Navigation system would not work.
I called up Mapmy India who asked me to delete the touch. cfg file. But it still does not work.
I was told on 17th August that someone would come home to attend to the unit. Someone is yet to come.
Please advice me how do I proceed with the redressal - since it is an online purchase ; in whose jurisdiction should I lodge the complaint.
