I am writing this mail in regard to the rusting problem in our Maruti Esteem VXi with registration number HR-51-T-1975. The car was bought in October 2005 from Vipul Motors, Faridabad and now the car has started rusting from the bottom. I can see large flakes of rust falling from the bottom of the car. I have been continuously complaining since 17 November 2010 but no heed has been paid. Whenever I enquire about the progress being made in this connection, I am told that my file has been closed without looking into the problem. If this is the service being provided by the Maruti Service Center, I am certain that the Company would be losing the trust of its loyal customers. I have never ever heard of the rusting in cars earlier or seen it even in the oldest of the models. I can’t say when my car started rusting because it’s at the bottom of the vehicle. It might have started after one or two years we bought it. I hope you would agree with me that it is a manufacturing fault which is to be dealt with by the company at the earliest. We still have 1998 Maruti models with us which are intact.
It would be highly appreciated if this letter of mine is given due attention and replied promptly with the solution.
