Hi,

I own a Tata Indigo which has been brought in December 2004. I drive the car by myself and no one else touches this car. While normally driving this car in 2005 the alternator belt pulley of the car broke and the power functions of the car stopped working as the alternator belt powers the brakes and steering. Fortunately I was able to bring the car to a halt. I wrote letters to the senior management at Tata
Motors and got a response from the then head of customer support, Mr. Mani Raman. He assured me that this was a one off problem and had been rectified now. The problem again happend in 2008 when I was driving on the highway and again in 2009. Unfortunately again on 10th July 2010 the problem has re-occured for the fourth time. I am shocked that a company like Tata is taking up this serious issue so lightly. This time I want to take Tata to the consumer court and make them pay for their irresponsible behaviour.
