Subject: Damage to Wagon R Duo Car# MH-02-AU-8247(Silver Colour)

Dear Sir/Madam,
I had purchased a wagon R Duo Car number MH-02-AU-8247, from your showroom in December’2006. After that in January’2007( the very first month after the purchase ), I got the anti rusting treatment done on my car at your showroom. I was told that the anti-rust treatment comes with a warranty of 5 years from the date of the treatment. Therefore in my case the anti-rust treatment expires in Jan’2012.But, unfortunately and to my horror, my car was found to be leaking water in the front seat next to the drivers position during the 2010 rains. When the car was brought to your showroom for the problem, I was told that the Clowpanel,door hinges,interior sides of doors and the panel behind the dash board had rusted to that effect that they had all to be changed. Unknown of any further degradation, I paid a hefty sum of nearly Rs.15000/- and got all the body parts mentioned changed.

I was under the impression that this was a one time problem faced due to maybe some reasons and thought it wise to pay and get it repaired. I was under the impression that this would be the only problem and the only charge occurred on repairs and that henceforth my car would be as good as new again. But to my dismay , I found that the exterior part of the door, the lid on the petrol tank(both interior and exterior) and some part of the bonnet have all rusted. This inspite of having got the anti-rust treatment done.I have been asked to sell off the car at the earliest by many car professionals stating that my car is in the worst possible state, and they warn me of my safety in such a car. Sir/madam, this is the only car that I posssess and find it difficult to commute to my work place and elsewhere as most of the time the car is in servicing. I have been harassed to the limits by this car and ask you to kindly help me deal with the situation.

There have been instances, where people are seen driving cars that are nearly 8 to 10 years old, but still in driving conditions, But ,my car being just more than 3 years old has been damaged to this extend. This definitely serves as a very bad name to both your organisation and Brand Maruti on the whole. I had purchased the Maruti brand of car as my first car, due to it’s goodwill and fame. But now I cannot say the same for the company and its after service.

If, no help is provided to me in this regard,I shall not fear in taking any legal or media help to find a proper solution. People like us cannot buy cars every month. We had put in our hard earned money to buy a steady car for our lifetime,but are very dejected with the outcome.
Kindly look into the matter and help me out of the mess I find myself into.
