    Default Tata Nano Review

When the news was out about the Tata Nano there was a big rave everywhere, that its only going to cost Rs1 lakh and its a car, which is better than a motorbike, which is a great thing for the middle class families.
The highlights of the car include the car being the worlds cheapest, it has frugal engineering and a value motronic system.

The pros of the Tata Nano are that it gives very good fuel efficiency, has a rear positioned engine, and best for the daily people traveling within the city everyday or even long distances. However the cons of the Tata Nano are that in the basic model you do not get air conditioning or an audio system, which is only available in the top model, of course with more than the Rs1 lakh cost.
When it comes to looks wise, well what more can you expect with the Rs1 lakh cost, its good enough to get through the traffic of India, and also suitable for female drivers or new driver as its easily manageable.

When seeing the car for real it does seem very small, but I suppose for someone who is going from a motorbike to car wand who has a family its something much better for them.

Hi! I bought my Nano LX - Sunshine Yellow a weak ago. I have driven some 300 kms. The car is amazing! It has great space, comfortable leg room and can easily fit-in two small sized suitcases in the luggage-space (behind the back seat). Its AC is an absolute wonder. It is much better than other cars in the range of Rs.4 lacs. I am in Karnataka and I paid 2.23 lakhs on road PLUS Rs.17000/- on Music System, Seat covers, Remote locking, mud-flaps, floor mats and anti-rust under coat. So, for 2.40 lakhs I have all comforts. The mileage is yet to be properly checked. On an average, I am getting only about 16 kms with AC, on city roads. Perhaps after the first servicing it may improve. Don't bother about the sound; it never bothers you! Inside the car, you barely hear it. The interiors looks cheap. The seat adjustments are not of quality. But then, you can't expect luxury with just 2.23 lakhs. About ingress and egress, no car worth its name can beat this car. This car is particularly good for those aged and suffering from arthritis. The drive is absolutely beautiful. Though there is no powered drive (the steering feels mildly hard), you don't find it hard to maneuver as the car has sharp turning radius. I have not tried long distances yet, but I am confident that the car would easily cruise some 300 - 350 kms a day. Dealer satisfaction is between below-average and average, but that doesn't matter. My friends have experienced similar treatment even with certain other famous car dealers. One thing which every one must know: You will never regret if you buy Tata Nano. You will experience it only when you buy it.

I will take some time one day and go for a test drive to see for myself. I did see a few on the roads and I would say its a pretty good deal for what you pay for it.

If Tata Nano is launched with a diesel version with a mileage of more then 25kms per liter it will be an all time hit in India and abroad with sale numbers shooting through the roof.

What needs to be seen is what condition would this car be in after say 50000 kilometres or 1 lakh.

    Smile Tata Nano

I bought Nano four months back and ve used it for 3000kms. It is an excellent innovative vehicle. Fuel efficiency is 18km/L with AC in city, Comfortable space, good stability while in high speed and turnings, better than Maruti800.
