I have bought VW polo car from OSL exclusive Kolkata 2 months back. I find the sales techniques used by VW is highly unethical. They have designed policy where you need to buy music system from their dealer only and that too of their recommended brand. This is against competition law where company is curbing choice for consumers. If at all VW had to sue certain makes of accessories to have zero defect product, they should have fitted in the factory only. Why their cars are coming without music system. This means consumers are free to set this of his / her own choice.

I have contacted VW team several times and they have sent out a mail saying that please come to our dealer and get this fitted as per VW policy. This is highly unfair and against consumer centric approach. Then some fine day VW might ask consumer to buy certain brand of petrol in VW car otherwise product warranty will be void. What an example of fooling around with Indian consumers by so called MNC.

At last I am forced to move to consumer forum so that VW India can understand the implication of wrong policy.

I hope this gives senior management a primary hand of information to amend the policy like this.
