I have a Volkswagen Vento Automatic transmission petrol driven car purchased last year from VW Jabalpur. I have been facing problems with the horn from last 6-7 months but last time when i visited the showroom the problem could not be sorted out as the staff was not fully trainedand the airbag unit needed to be replcaed. I am in merchant navy and was out of India and finally came back home in Dec. Since then i have been to the showroom 4-5 times to get rid of the problem. After repeated queries, the SRS/Airbag unit was replaced to sort out the problem but it was a temporary replacement as the problem is still persistent and poses a lot of danger as pressure has to be applied to honk. I have been through 3 near misses due to the faulty operation. I did mail to 'after sales' department online but have not received any reply. I have also mailed to to U.K VW branch today to inform the scenario that has been going on. Fnally today i got a call from the VW showroom in Jablpur to inform me that they cannot help me any further and this is problem with the whole lot. I cannot bear any further risks on my part after spending more than 10 Lakhs on a vehicle and impairing safety of myslef as well as the people traveling with me. Kindly look into the matter as soon as possible before trauma turns into an accident.
