SUBJECT : Serivces provided by "Authorised Service Centre"

I Shreyas Raval own The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350cc twinspark purchased on 03/11/2010.

Since the day I purchased my vehicle from the 1st service itself , I am getting my bike serviced at, P.R. Enterprise Shop no. 3/C Ganesh Bhuvan, Senapati Bapat Marg,
Opp. Mahim Railway Station, Mahim (W), Mumbai - 400016. Although the 1st services are supposed to be free apart form charges for Commodities such as engine oil and break oil I have been charged irregularly for various other engine and brake faults which most of the companies would not charge as the product was under warranty this has happended for all 4 free services provided by your "Authorised service station"

But, I never complained as I had a very busy schedule.

Now The important thing I would like to bring to your notice is:

1. The Service station mentioned above is a "Authorised service Station"
If One wants to give his bike for servicing he needs to arrive at the service station at 09:30 AM in the morning and they say your bike is taken for service on 1st come 1st serve basis , which is not the case they do take bikes for serivce but only if the person has a good rapport with Mr. Sameer Malik and knows him personally.
This has been the case over a year now and each time to get my bike serviced I had to visit the station 3-4 times until the store manger has pity on me and takes the bike under service.
Now ,
On Thursday 03rd November 2011 I visited the service station at 10am and I was informed to come the next day as the bookings were full and I agreed.
On Friday 04th November I visited the service station and I was informed very rudely that there are many bikes to be serviced and there is no opportunity for them to book my bike hence they gave me an appointment for , Tuesday the 8th of November 2011 i.e today , and to my extreme inconvinience today when I visit the station they did not accept my bike either although they had my name written on their appoinment list, they said you need to come tomorrow or day after but they were not sure that even tomorrow they would be able to accept my bike. At the very same time there were people with good rapport and their bike was accepted today.

"Royal Enfield Service Station is operating unprofessionally and does not value customers time at all."

2. The reason I am so frustrated about is that without a proper service I cannot travel using my bike as the gear box is completely damaged and my vehicle needs serious attention. The way information is communicated by the Service station is rude and also there is a sense of monopoly in the tone used as Royal Enfield does not have enough service stations which is creating a monopolistic environment. Now M/s P.R Enterprise resembles a garage which means they do not have a parking space for vehicles and hence they are occupying the road for servicing vehicles whcih again is a violation of Law which will be reported to local Municipal co-orperation.

The Issue is not about the product but the issue is considering the price which Royal Enfiled Charges for their products the amount of waiting period for the vehicle, The after sales serivces are not at all upto the customers expectations. Royal Enfield has never contacted me or many of friends who own a Royal Enfield inquiring about the services provided and their feedback, Royal Enfield does not have adequate number of service stations and the one's which are available are franchises given to private garages with unprofessional staff. where as most of the Bike manufacturers such as Honda, Yamaha are focusing on a systematic after sales structure Royal Enfield is still applying the age old mannual and personal approach towards after sales .
