I was sent this text message from Shoppers Stop......"Need a change in wardrobe? Exchange your old Salwar Kameez & Dupattas at Shoppes Stop & get upto Rs888 off on new ones. Ends 4 Jul'10. T&C"........so I took 4 of my worn salwar suits to exchange for new. Once I had picked up the new kurtas that I had wanted, mind you, after looking for over an hour as the sizes were very hard to find for most indian outfits...When I went to the billing counter I was told that I had to pick up sets only, that is, Salwar Kameez Dupatta and it has to be of a particular brand called SKD. NOWHERE in their text message have they mentioned that, the entire set has to be purchased, nor is it mentioned that it has to be of the SKD brand. I called for the Manager, someone by the name Vaidyata R, appeared accepting their error in misinforming their customers about their exchange offer, but at that point she was not able to do anything about it for what I had purchased to be exchanged with my worn suits. I tried explaining to her that since it was an error on their part, she should do something to make me go through all the inconvenience but she was not willing to budge and even meet me halfway. I walked out so frustrated, having wasted an entire morning, and dealing with a manager that does not know what it is to satisfy a customer that too for an error that was done on their part. I am complaining so that some action is taken towards this and customers who go in thinking the same thing that i did after reading the text sent by Shoppers Stop and facing the same frustration..!!! This incident took place on 28/06/2010 at the Shoppers Stop on Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore. Thanks.!
