my file no.'s are w541403 and w541404 for my mom and sister.I have applied for passport in kolkata on 7th april 2011.Till date the status is being shown as police verification not receive.i have also applied for passport on 6th of april for me and my father which I HAVE RECIEVED.BUT MY MOM'S AND SISTER PASSPORT STATUS IS STILL SHOWING POLICE VERIFICATION NOT RECIEVED.

I had submitted my file to the passport seva kendra, lalbagh at Bangalore on 10th November'2011 and the status says , "Police Verification (PV) has been initiated and a PV request has been sent to Commissioner Office, District Bangalore . Your passport will be dispatched after Clear Police Verification Report is received at Regional Passport Office. You would receive an email/sms once the passport is dispatched.

I am yet to understand the delay is from which department. When you call the call centre of the passport, the customer service representatives will not have anything to say other than what is mentioned in the portal. THE NEW SYSTEM OF PASSPORT OFFICE IS USELESS. IT IS MORE THAN 4 MONTHS AND I AM YET TO GET MY PASSPORT, forget about the passport, I don't think there has been any move on the file itself. Can anybody help me whom to contact for this. If you go the passport office they will make you wait for more than 2 hours and will give you the answer what is mentioned in the status of the we portal. How do I contact the Commissioner's office... any suggestion
