Sub: Request for replacement of defective Gear Box of Maruti Ritz Ldi Car.
While going to Shimla for a trip I was accompanying my wife and children on my own personal Maruti Ldi Ritz car, which I have purchased one and half year back 0n10th of Nov2010. I was struck down on the way at Hosiarpur round about 10pm.It was due to fault in the gear system resulting my car was not able to move an inch, I was landed on the road with my family members inconvenienced depressed and harassed and was unable to decide what to do. Somehow I managed a road side Car Mechanic who helped me by lifting the blocked gear and advised me to drive the gear without changing the gear frequently and hardly to nearby Maruti Authorized Workshop . as no workshop was opened during night late hours. I reached to Chandigarh at 9am. Suddenly while going through the manual I came to know the toll free number. I contacted them on line and narrated the whole incident. Customer Care Centre give me the number of Berkelay Automobile Chandigarh I on my own took my car to the same where the inspection team checked my Vehicle and told me that there is a defect in the gear system of the Vehicle they took my vehicle to their service station and repaired the same in my presence where I noticed some small iron pieces and particles were settled down in the Gear oil of the gear box of my Vehicle. On inquiring it was told by the mechanic that these are the remnants of broken lock and the gears. As I have never expected such a big loss I requested them to replace, my car gear system they assured me that this is a minor problem which may come usually in the gear boxes they will rectify this problem this time and it will never come again in the future. If somehow it will come they will replace the gear system of my car. I believed them with a faith that I have a very high opinion about your company, as well as your product, we as well as my family and my friends always go in for your branded product for your Goodwill and Service Excellence to the valued customer. But you will shock to know while coming from the Srinagar to Jammu again I was struck down at Banihal which is almost 200 km away from the Srinagar. I drove the vehicle very slowly without changing frequently the gear system as it was advised by the local mechanic and my previous unforgettable experience and I took round about 12 Hrs to cover 4 to 5 hour journey. This time again I contacted your toll free number and requested to lodge my genuine complaint sir I was surprised to see the behavior of the Toll Free Number 18001800180 today they listened my genuine complaint and disconnected the phone without giving me the complaint number. I tried twice and 2nd time Mr. Vikas was on line who also did the same. I tried so many times afterward but it was all in vain.
Sir, I was never expecting such a shameful, disgusting behavior from such a reputed company to a well reputed highly qualified person like me it is pertinent to mention that this is my fourth car of Maruti udyog ltd in my last 12 years and so far I have never got complaint against Maruti udyog ltd.
Now my vehicle is with Shaurya Motors. This time also they were trying to repair the same but I refused to repair again the gear box. I told the work manager either change the gear box or change my car or permit me to carry my case to the honorable Consumer Court. let the honorable court will decide the future course of action. I contacted your territory Service Manager Mr. Ranveer Singh Kalra telephonically as he was out of station today he gave a patient hearing to my complaint assured me to look after the matter.
Sir, you will always find me busy with my patients. My precious time is for my patients not for yours workshops Mechanics and for the Maruti udyog ltd. kindly sort out my problem at the earliest as this is also hampering my professional work. I am using my wife’s Wagon .R who is also a doctor and helping my patient and my profession. She is hiring Pvt Taxi and car for going too and fro to her office.
