I purchased a APC Inverter and AMCO Batterry(bundled with inverter) on 6th April, 2010. After few months we found there are some leakages in the battery, and we reported the problem to APC, Kolkata office and they replaced the battery on 13th Aug, 2010.
The new battery started giving less back-up (1/2 hrs) after using it for 8 months or so.
On 20th April, 2011 we called APC, Kolkata for a routine check, they said everything is working fine. But from June, 2011 onward we found the battery started giving backup for only 1/2 hrs (even though the load is not too high).
So, we reported that to APC, Kolkata and lodged a complaint in october, 2011. They came to investigate and after that they said as the warranty for battery is only for 1.5 years (from the date of purchase), it's over by 4/5 days. And inspite of repeated calls to their Kolkata and Bangalore office they are reluctant to replace the battery.
The point here I am trying to make is, APC says both the batteries were new and they give warrenty for the new batteries. Unfortunately both the batteries were faulty. In that case why they are not replacing the second battery too when we are using the second battery for around a year. Also, Even if I go by their policy, the warrenty is over only by 5 days, and in such case they could replace the second battery at least on the basis of goodwill.
So, altogether the inverter accessories we got and the services provided to us by APC were really bad.
