We have an LG washing machine which stopped working last week. We registered a complaint with LG customer care (RNA102104080579). The service engineer visited on Saturday, Jan 7th and mentioned that the control panel needed a change. He also stated that if the parts are available in the service center then it will be replaced by Sunday else it will be replaced in 3/4 days time. He was supposed to inform as soon as he reached the service center. the service engineer did not call up or come on sunday. When I called up the customer care on Monday I was told that the parts are unavailable and it will be replaced by latest thursday and by Wednesday the Service center would update the status.
Again there was no response from the Service center on wednesday and when i called up the LG cust care informed that the parts would be available by Thursday and service center numbers were given along with a manager Dipti's number. Thursday again there was no information the entire day. On Friday I started following up and none of the Service center numbers were answered. Ms dipti's number was switched off. So again i called up the call center and they mentioned that issue will be taken on high priority and the Service center would reach out within 2 hours. I called them at 9:30 am, 11 am, 12, 3 pm, 4 pm and 7 pm. At12 I was told that the part has been delivered at service center and a manager number was given as well. But as usual the number was not answered and no response from LG service center.
Finally I decided to reach out to Consumer Forum so that they get a little charged up. At 9 I called them stating that I have lodged a complaint but strangely even after that I have not received any callbacks.
I would like to know the legal action which can be taken for the consumer harassment that has been caused by the LG Customer Care.
