I bought the new Samsung Split 1.5 ton Ac (in built stabaliser) from Better Deals, Janakpuri, N Delhi in mid April 10 and within a month and half, i realised that it was not cooling properly, so i lodged a complaint with samsung customer care centre, in a day or two, the call was attented and the engineers told me that the gas in the ac cyclinder was low and hence no cooling, another team will come in a day or two to refill the gas. its a one in a thousand cases, that such a thing happens, but it will be attented to, and you shall not face this complaint again. next day after regular follow up, a team turns up, fills the gas and leaves, assuring that the problem has been rectified permanently. after 2 days, am forced to again lodge a complaint, as the ac had again stopped cooling!!! the same procedure repeats again and with same assurance. but that was not the end of my woes, again a month and half later, i lodge a complaint with the same problem, again the same process repeats and now in less a week's time, i have lodged the fourth time the same complaint, ac not cooling at all, again the same steps, a team visits, says gas is low, another team shall come to refill. I ask the team that they need to get the AC replaced, as its a defective equipment, but am informed that they shall be submitting a report and after which a team shall re-visit and examine the unit and only after which any final decision can be taken.
Since, i was not satisfied with the way the customer care team was handling the problem, I then got in touch with Mr. Manish Thapliyal, Asst. Service Manager, Samsung AC, Delhi, he tells me that they are on a courtesy call to their customers. I ask him to get the defective unit replaced, as its still not 4 months since the time i have purchased the unit, and i have already lodged 4 complaints with the same problem, but till date, i havent received any positive and appropriate response from the Samsung team.
I request the consumer forum to help me get the defective unit replaced from the company at the earliest.
