I have purchased a Split Air conditioner Vertis Classic on 25.03.2010. The swing fan louver was defective and I lodged a complaint to Voltas Service Centre vide my complaint no. 10 MY 1705170 on 17 May 2010. But inspite of my repeated reminders still my Air conditioner part is not replaced.
on Aug 1, I again lodged a complaint at Internet at VCare. The copy of that complaint is as under:
I have purchased your Vertis Classic Split Air conditioner on 25.03.2010 from M/s Sheeba Electronics, C – 7 Fateh Nagar, Jail Road, New Delhi vide invoice no. 8383 but regret to inform you that I am very disappoint with your after sales service department.
Firstly in spite of my repeated reminder the person came to me after 12 days to give me demonstration.
Then one day we notice that the upper swing louver of the fan was not working properly so we lodge a fresh complaint at customer care on 17 th May 2010 vide complaint no. 10 MY 1705170.
Then from this day a new chapter was opened in my life. I repeatedly contacted your customer care to send some service engineer to rectify my fault but no avail. Then about after one month a service engineer named Mr. Sunil from M/s United Refrigeration co. WZ 33, Asalatpur, opp A-3 Market Block, Janakpuri, New Delhi, came and checked the fault and said that this part had to be replaced and he took my that part on the pretext that he will check from their godown and requested me to call the owner of M/s United Refrigerator Mr. Datta on his mobile no. 9810669779 to issue that part.
So after that it has become my daily routine to call Mr. Datta for the replacement of my part and everyday Mr. Datta used to give me new story that I have checked my stock but can’t find the piece, I have placed an order to company and it will reach next day, then I have received the piece but not the same Model etc.
Then one day he said the Voltas Company Service executive Mr. BB Dua is not releasing the part and requested me to call Mr. BB Dua on his mobile no. 9911562157. Now in my daily routine one more work is added i.e. to call Mr. BB Dua.
Now Mr. Dua start giving me tame excuses that he will get it arrange the part, then I have delivered it to Mr. Datta and when I asked Mr. Datta that why are you not installing my faulty part but Mr. Datta said that he has not received any part, then again I contacted Mr. Dua that Mr. Datta has not received any part then Mr. Dua said that I am fed up with the attitude of Mr. Datta and I am receiving lot of complaints of Mr. Datta.
Now Mr. Dua was blaming Mr. Datta and Mr. Datta was making Mr. Dua responsible for not delivering the part to them. In between these two I was like tennis ball, one day in Mr. Datta’s court and one day in Mr. BB Dua’s court.
I made about Rs.500 calls to these two and I think the cost of that part must be less then that.
One thing I want to ask you can’t you people see that why the complaints are pending for so long. Now about two and a half month has passed and I am still waiting for my defective part to be replaced. Why you people are taking so much time to replace my defective part? That means you people just believe in selling the product and damn bother about the after sale service. I better contact the consumer forum and make it public by contacting the media that how you people harass the customers.
