Dear Md Khalid Mustafa,
The device which I purchased vide serial no.-KW-04082101827 Model no.- FL18WACLE -1.5 TON, was having multiple problems throughout the warranty period, but the problem escalated and became serious just after the expiry of the WARRANTY period. I'm holding all the record and you also must be having my complete complaint history.
1) The first serious problem was noted when AC stopped Cooling. After several follow-up and my personal contact with your officials and our previous business relationship. The refilling of GAS was done 01/07/2010 by your service engineer FREE of COST.
2) AC was controlled through Remote Control Device, but after switch-off through Remote control still the AC Fan was rotating. Which was indicated on 01/07/10 to your Gas filling technician but casual approach was taken. And Device was running with this problem.
Your Sr. Engineer Mr Kultar Singh has visited to my residence on 03/08/10 after the FIRE Incident and I have shown the following
1) MCB with cable in intact condition
2) Voltage Stabilizer was very much connected I have clearly told to Mr Kultar Singh that Stabilizer was given to our electrician, I told to Mr Kultar Singh that if he want to investigate than I will call my electrician and ask him to bring the stabilizer but he never asked me to do so. I clearly told to Mr Kultar Singh and show him the place where the Shoe Rack and Stabilizer was kept. And I have told him very clearly that Stabilizer was kept besides the Shoe Rack Just below to the AC. When FIRE started and Fire with thick dark smoke was coming from the AC the front Cover which was made of complete PLASTIC was melted and dropped on the Shoe Rack. Due to the Drops of the melted plastic with fire Shoes kept on the Shoe Rack was melted and dropped on the Stabilizer and nothing was visible on the Stabilizer due to the melted Shoes and Plastic Items. To control the Fire and to prevent the other mis-happening by the Electrical fire, Main Power Supply Unit was disconnected by our electrician and water was used to control the flame, in that process too much of water was pored on the Stabilizer also because it was kept just below to our AC which was installed Above the Door side. To clean & dry the Stabilizer I have handed over the Stabilizer to Electrician of our Building Society that was the reason it was not available when Mr Kultar Singh visited there.
You have raised that MCB of 40 AMP was connected with the AC
My question is that I’m not an Electrical or Electronic Engineer by Profession and I do not know how to install the AC and what are the basic requirements of the AC to work. The whole process was suggested and done by your qualified engineers and technicians. More ever there were several visits by your engineers and technicians and you have got the service report sheet through that your engineers should have informed you or me that wrong MCB was installed but why it was not informed to the USER, WHY?
Also in my residence all the rooms are separately controlled through MCB and the BED-ROOM, where the AC was installed is controlled through MCB of 32AMPs ONLY which I have clearly shown to your engineer at the time of installation of the AC.
Please clarify this…
A reputed company like you should have accepted the fault and on humanity the reasonable compensation should have given on HUMANITY GROUND, but you are pointing on me and trying to prove me wrong for your FAULTY DEVICE.
Sir, I was waiting for your reply and action, but I’m sorry to say that despite our business relation and personal relationship with the company official. You have tried to cover your mistake and trying to put blame on me.
Therefore I have decided to lodge a complaint with the CONSUMER COURT with all the evidences and going to give all the proof to the MEDIA and will highlight this issue through Consumer Forum and I will see that proper compensation is been given and justice is made in my case.
Thanks and regards

Dear Mr. Shashank singh,
This has reference to your below mailin this
regardwe have already confirmedyou telephonically that the incident
only occured due to high voltage and because of the OVER RATING MCB(40 Amp)
which was connected with the AC when our senior engineer Mr. Kultar Singh
visited to you for the inspection on 3/8/10,at that time
nostabilizer was also found at the site and the AC was connected without
stabalizer which is compulsary to connect with the AC to regulate the voltage
and to save the product from the high voltage and to protect such type of
incident whichhas occured with you.
Hence, you are requested to kindly allow us to make it
repair your AC on reasonable charges since the warranty of your AC has already
been expired.

Khalid Mustafa

Since the date of purchase I was facing problem with the device, there were
several complaints were registered and during the warranty several visits were
made by your service engineers. Before my complaint no.-FLCL081079625
DT.02/08//2010 AT 15:19 Hrs. my last complaint was registered on 22/06/2010
for NO COOLING. After lot of persuasions and requests finally your service

GAS. Due to that AC is NOT COOLING.

02/08/2010 at 14:07 Hours through this faulty AC, with Mild Explode Sound FIRE
with THICK DARK BALCK SMOKE has started coming out from the mouth of AC, that
time my 3 years 4 months old Daughter was Sleeping Alone in the room after
returning from the School.
>After hearing the sound my wife rushed to the
room and she found that FIRE was coming from inside the AC with Thick Dark
Black Smoke and our daughter was trapped inside. She immediately extracted my
daughter through her LEG and taken away from the BED Room. Than she
switched-off the MAIN POWER Supply Unit. With the help of our neighbors she
managed to control the flame but in this process our some valuable items like
BED / Mattresses/Pillows / Curtains / Complete Shoes-Chapels with rack cloths
kept in cupboard and on Steel Almirah were caught fire and badly damaged and
absolute not in usable condition. The approximate value of damage of my
belongings was Rs.30000/-. The most fortunate was that life of my daughter was
in real danger was saved by the grace of GOD. But as she was alone trapped in
side the bed room she inhaled the smoke of the AC and she started complaining
the serious head-ache and pain in stomach. At 7PM we approached to the nearest
Doctor Mr NAVIN RANA – MD Pediatrician. After primary examination he confirmed
that smoke has gone inside the baby body and he referred some medicine for
her.

any problem and no problem in electrical wiring was noticed by the electrician
in entire room. All the electrical circuit was working without any
correction.
