Default GLEN Appliance Pvt.Ltd. (Glen Food Processor LX600W)

Hi,

I purchased a product from HOME SHOP (customer care number 18001800918) and received it on 29th June 2010 (invoice no 160122367). Order was placed on 19th June 2010 and received it on 29th June 2010 through TNT courier.

The product was purchased in the name of SRI RASHMI(9491886883).

The name of the product is GLEN FOOD PROCESSOR.

PRODUCT CODE : SA4051LXFP

DESCRIPTION OF GOODS : 4051 FOOD PROCESSOR LX 600W

RATE INCLUDING TAX : RS. 3190.00

INVOICE NO : 160122367

INVOICE DATE : 19/06/2010

DELIVERED ON : 29/06/2010

We started using the product from 16/07/2010 and the Motor got burnt on 20/07/2010......The technician (Mr. Rafeeq) came and confirmed that the problem is with the Motor and replaced the same but the second motor started giving burning smell as soon as it was replaced........

He also confirmed that it is a faulty product............we braught this to Home shop's notice on 21/07/2010 and requested them to refund the money cause we want to return the product.......we also talked to Glen Customer care but they refused to return the moeny in fact they disconnected the call.......

Home shop customer service people (Mr. Vijay) gave a complaint number as 5757844 and assured that he would make sure that the product is returned and money is refunded......He also confirmed that the same would be paid in cheque........The same was told by Mr. Abhishek who is a Team Leader of Home Shop Customer service on 07/08/2010 but when we called back Home Shop Customer service again on 13/08/2010 since we didn't receive any response or call from them then Deepak Kumar, Babin(Team Leader) and Anupam Roy were very rude and did'nt want to listen anything from us in fact they just say that it can't be refuned and they say to file a case if we wish to.

Customer Care of Home shop agents promise that they will refund the money with in 10 days and also say that they would be going to send the courier person to my residence for the collection of the food processor which is a faulty but they never turn up.

This Home Shop customer care department people are giving us all false Promises and escaping from refunding the money.

Even we have recorded the calls while talking to the Home shop customer care....

I have been complaining about this product to HOME SHOPE since 20th July 2010 but nobody gives a proper response and we are fed up with this..........

I am not attaching the copies of bills because i don't have scanner but i would be able to fax them if required.........Pls help us getting the refund and take necessary action against GLEN APPLIANCES and Home Shope........

Though i have purchased it for grinding or home use it is being kept in the shelf as a show piece . Please sir/madam see to that i am being refunded soon......

They said that my complaint has been sent and i will be refunded soon ...
But i did not get any status of my complaint so i my self called them back to find the status on 23rd Aug 2010 they said that they are not going to refund my amount. So i asked them to transfer my call to the manager they kept me on line for 10 mins and said that i will receive the call with in 2hrs from the Manager. But i didn't receive any cal from them till date...

So,again i called back them after 2days(On 25-8-2010 I called up this people again to find out the status) and asked regarding the call which has been promised by them with in 2hrs then they again kept my cal on hold and hanged up the call with out any intimation and i did not receive any call from them.
We are vexed up with this people by calling them and we are being charged for the calls day by day it is becoming a big tension for me., please please see to it that we will refunded soon

One of our customers Sri Rashmi has raised a concern regarding product quality of her order of Glen Food Processor - 4051 LX .


In response to her complaint we have taken up the matter with our business partner M/s Glen .

We have spoken and advised her to send the product back to our vendor Glen .

We are refunding the order value through cheque ,it shall be delivered to her in 4-5 working days .

This incidence is just as an exception and not a standard of service quality we strive to achieve for our valued customers.

Did they finally refund the money or not? thank God i saw this post as I was just going to order this same processor. Thanks for saving me from Home shop .

thanks for the information . as i want to purchase the product now definatly i drop my self cause product failure is common but not service of a organisation as big home sshop 18 , please do proper service as the 80% people dont beleive in india online shoping . dont make it a mess.

Question glen food processor

i ordered my glen food processor from home shop 18 on 15/04/11 and got delivery on 25/4/11 but product is not getting switched on. despite of so many complaints given to home shop 18 no response is their.also i called to ur service center mobile numbers but nobody is picking up phone.so i request concerned department to help me and solve this problem.thanx.

Angry Glen Food Processor - 4051 LX.... wanted to buy,.,,,now .NO.

Thanks for this information. I was just about to purchase this food processor online through homeshop18.
Luckily the product was out of stock in my town and i was reviewing the product on the net. And I found this thread.

Default Glen food processor 4051

I too have bought it and regret it. the quality is soo bad. the blades were slightly rusted when i got it and now it is fully rusted, and the jar is like a toy. the plastic is already broken within barely 10 uses. i am not intertested in fighting for a refund because i have learned my lesson not to believe Glen products in future.what is shown on tv through home shop 18 is just a magnified picture. in reality it is so small that you can hardly use it for a family of 3 even.i have just thought that i am throwing my money in the bin, but i hope i can save someone elses money if they read this. please do not buy Glen food processor if you dont want to waste your money.

i was going to order the same glen foof processor from home shop 18 ,but before that i was just searching the internet,and found your problem. you save me from fraud. first thing which required is service, but your post opened my eyes for home shop 18.thanx again.

Default Complaint on purchase of GL 5 LX

I purchased Glen Food Processor GL 5 LX through HS18 on 28 Oct 11. On check of items sent alongwith the food processor and on watching the CD it is found that the items i.e. Chipping disc, whisker disc, citrus juicer, coconut shreding disc and chutny jar were not send alongwith supply order. Also, the free gift VIDEOCON D2H CONNECTION, was not sent. Please look into the matter. My E-mail is bmannotra@gmail.com. Thanks Rashmi, You have also save me.. Now I will not buy this product from Homeshop18.. Thanks all for sharing your experiences... I think we should not buy and unknown product from Online... If we want to buy online it should be very known brand
