This is to bring in notice that we have purchased a havells fan with a warranty of 2 years (as on 21.04.2009). After few months from the date of the purchase it started making horrible noise all time during the day & in an irregular manner. So we complaint about the same,after which the service personel came to replace a spare part in order to cut off the noise but few days later it again started off & in the same way. So once again we complaint & another spare part was replaced to make a temporrary change with the noise. In a similar way we had to complaint 7 to 8 times for the same reason without any conclusion. Lastly it was informed to us that the fan would be replaced as there were no spare parts left to be replaced & the service-man named Vidyut left taking our signature assuring us to get the same done by 07th Oct '10, but there was no communication made from their end since 06th Oct '10. Unwillingly we had to call up to get the update from them. To our surprise we found the same service-man informing that since the fan is out of warranty we won't get a replacement (though we are still left with 6 months & few days left for the warranty to expire). IF THIS KIND OF AFTER SALE SERVICE WE GET FROM BRANDED COMPANIES IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT FOR CONSUMERS TO RELY ON THEM IN FUTURE..... it would be of great help if this is considered seriously & some steps are taken so that we consumers don't face the same kind of trouble once again.
