Hi all! I have been using the IFB washing machine for the past 2 years and is still under warranty. 10 days before, it did not function properly. I registered a complaint thru the general customer care number and they replied that it will be attended within 24 hours. Whenever I call I am getting the same monotonous reply but my issue was not fixed. After speaking to lot of officials they sent a mechanic who did not know anything about the product I suppose. We gave the complaint as motor not running. The mechanic came and said the Capacitor is faulty and took a day's time to replace it. Still the machine did not work. Then the mechanic informed me that the motor might be faulty and needs to be replaced. He also said that he will check if the motor is available in stock and will come with the motor. Like this, two days went away. The issue has not yet been resolved. Its 10 days now since the issue began.VERY VERY VERY POOR, WORST,HORRIBLE service by IFB. I kindly request other consumers not to purchase IFB appliances. Despite staying in a Metropolitan city, the service is really poor. What about rural areas then!!!! Is there any higher official whom the consumers can contact regarding this? I have posted this to alert other consumers to refrain from buying their products and also for a solution to my grievances.

Hi Shivshankar: Have had similar problems with the IFB Washing Machine & with the Franchisee SErvice Engineers. Wonder if we can get enough people with similar probems & escalate the issue & create more public awareness.

I second shivshankar on this.
But my problem is still worst. I bought a IFB digital 5.5 KG front load washing machine just 3 months back. 23rd march 2010 to be precise. I paid 25,000 for this machine. From the very first day i have bought the machine i have repeatedly faced problem. First my problem was water leakage for the first time i ran the machine after installation from authorised IFB executive. As most of us would have done, i raised a complaint on the customer care. The executive came home checked the machie and said the outlet pipe had a leakage. As it is was a very new machine i asked for a replacement of the pipe. Executive agreed upon it and bought a pipe for replacement the next time he came home. The worst part here is he bought a pipe which did not suit my machine. Hence my leakage problem did not stop. It is a pure case of cheating on coustomers by replacing the unmatched parts on the machine which do not suit the machine. And all this was not communicated to me untill i started agruing on the problem. And the end the executive himself agreed on installing unmatched parts on my machine which did them atter worst. I did have a lot of agruments with senior executive of IFB and after repeated vists of the IFB executive to my house this problem was rectified. I think the IFB executive have visited my house 5 to 6 times for fix this issue. My problem did not stop here. Once the leakage problem was fixed, i started getting a banging sound the next time i ran the machine. Again now the unskilled executive did not know to fix the pipe house. he had cut the orginal one. On repeated complaints and arguments i started demanding for replacement of the machine as it was not even 2 months since i had invested 25k on the machine. But my replacement request went unheard by all IFB officials. Again the part was refixed afetr 2 weeks. Now that everything is done, i put the machine on i hear a banging sound from the drum or motor of the machine. This has really frustated me and i'm bent upon getting the machine replaced. I have spoken to all officials at IFB possible to get the machine replaced. No actions taken yet. Everytime i call them either the phones are switched off ot no one answers my call on the official mobile phone. Or if they recieve no the answer i get is we will give you a feedback ASAP. As this is very frustating, i have taken this step of educating people against buying IFB products. They have the worst service and executives possible in business. Though i might not get any justice posting this comment here, but i think this would educate enough people not to buy such products. I will go public to build awareness in public against such cheats in market. Guys, from the time i have bought this machine (for 2 months) i havent even washed my cloths evn once for perfection without problems. My next step would be to go public through newspapers. Read this, think and make a choice! |

my machine under warranty
cust id 1674805 complaint no 4954892 very poor response from company always talks and promise no action last complaint registered on 17 Aug 10 . i went against odd to buy this product despite people advising me not to do so i wanted to gain first hand experience of most useless complaint center and after sales.Please interfere and do something if u have some power to do otherwise pl issue advisory against such company who think only product selling is their aim after sales not. |
