Dear Ma'am/Sir,

It is with high disappointment and regret I write this e-mail to share the most terrible experience of my life.
Thinking that i was going in for a premium brand, I bought an IFB front loading washing machine “Sentaor” 6 Kg on 30th Dec 2011 from U.P. Marketing Branch, Indo Bulger Food Compound, Meerut Road, Ghaziabad.
After checking my machine I noted the Serial Number of my machine which was to be delivered at my home just to discover at the delivery that, the entire inspection excercise was futile as the delivery person may actually shuffel the supply and deliver any other piece as well and hence i get a delivery of a machine with a different serial number.

To be noted here: the Serial Number of my machine shown to me was 92476 which was new machine from the fresh lot and in good condition, while, the one delivered bears the serial number 92470 and I am told by the delivery chap that the machine is from the same lot so it hardly matters. Driven by my faith (THE BIGGEST CRIME OF MY LIFE) on the brand name I accept the wise suggestion and the delivery. Just for the next level of surprise.

Surprise 2
The installation person comes at my home without any intimation or call at a very convenient time of the night (around 9:00 PM) to install the machine.
In my absence my father sends him back requesting to come back again in the next morning. (Big co-operation)

After a little follow-up the guy finally arrives for installation on 2nd January 2012.

Surprise 3 & 4
He opens the packing of the machine and it is “a damaged piece”. The top surface of the machine was broken.
He advised us to get the installation done and to replace the top of the machine later and we are expected to accept the broken machine even though I paid the full amount in case before the delivery. (WHO GOD DAMNIT WOULD ACCEPT A DAMAGED PIECE FOR THE COST OF A FRESH PIECE AND EXPECT ANY SUCH INSTANCE IF S/HE IS GOING FOR ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE MAKE AND MODEL IN ITS CLASS) God knows the extent of damage in that machine and why on earth should I at all accept it.

My wise decision and Game over - I lose.

I deny getting the installation done and request for a replacement. The installation person goes back saying that he will send the report to the concerned authority in the company and machine will be replaced tomorrow.

We follow up wiht U.P. Marketing Branch and register a complaint there. On repeat follow ups we are informed that an erroneous complaint has been filed by the installation person.
In his report he has written that we bought the machine from a dealer called Rajasthan Electronics (a place I never went to and don’t know where on earth doest it exist).

A person who did not even bother to ask for the bill / invoice has all abilities to fillup all details in his report by intitution. He never even tried to check any details and just went back even without taking the serial number of the machine.

Game Over - Ever since then we have recieved no acknowledgements and on follow-up at all places we are just to be told that the process is being followed.
We are continuously calling U. P. Marketing Branch people but no one is ready to address our problem.Till date there is no response from the company and nobody seems bothered (except for me of course)

After narrating the complete story should I expect any response at all or should i assume that i have lost it all.

With this mail I request IFB and/or anybody reading this to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE refund my money I SERIOUSLY DONT NEED A PREMIUM BRAND AT ALL (it is so in-sane).

I humbly request you to please do the needful and atleast acknowledge this correspondace with your kind instructions to me on the next steps.
Your agreement says that post 30 days of sale you are no more responsible, I realize that you never were even in the first place, but formally i have already lost 10 days already.
