Dear Sir/Madam,
I purchased LG MJ3281CG 32Ltr convection Microwave owen from timtara vide transaction id.10121779 Invoice no.10121779/2011-12 dated 12-12-2011.
After three weeks of operation, once while operating the owen in convection mode at temperature setting of 180 degrees and time setting of 40 minutes, the mounting glass plate after a few minutes broke into two halves. I switched off the owen and registered a complaint with LG customer care vide RNA120117018135 dated 17-01-12.
The LG service centre representative came and after a few seconds alleged that it happened due to improper handling and told to purchase a new plate. But the fact is that his allegations are baseless and as per owners manual warranty card instructions there is 12 months warranty on all parts except plastic parts. The service centre representative don't even know the difference between plastic and glass and started arguing. Examination of the way the plate broke refutes his allegation as the plate broke from top to bottom in a curved line. This might have happened due to development of a crack due to manufacturing defect.
As an old LG customer, I feel that LG products these days have failed to meet the reliability standards and customers like me are loosing faith in LG. Let the concerned people please uphold the long cherished ideals of LG. By the way please replace the faulty glass plate immediately without much delay to avoid customer dissatisfaction.
