I lodged a complaint with the toll free no. of LG on Dec 22, 2011. A service guy came & had a look at the TV & said the panel needs to be replaced. As I have an extended warranty for 3 years, he said it would take 3 days to get the new part & fix it. No call at all from them after that. From Dec 29 I started calling them several times daily, only to be told that within 2 hours I will get a call from the service centre & within 24 hours the fault will be attended to. The same reply every time but no call. During one of my calls on Dec 31, I was informed that the update shows that the part has been received by the service centre. Today after I spoke with the floor manager at LG Toll free no., she promised to get the service centre to call me back by 11.30am. Of course nothing happened. When I called back at 12noon, a service centre person from Vadapalani Chennai called me & said they are waiting for the part to arrive. While going in for the extended warranty in Nov 2011, I had checked with the LG person & he had confirmed to me that if any part was not available, the TV would be replaced with a new one. When I mentioned this to the service centre today he said he will check about this & call me back in exactly 10 minutes. That was about an hour ago. No call as yet.
LG service is terrible & very unprofessional.
