I have purchased an Onida A/C 1.5 ton,model# S018YR worth Rs 22500.00 (including 4KVA Stablizer) on 18/11/2005. Just few days back on 29.05.2010 it stopped working we called the customer service center on 30.05.2010 they attended it on 31.05.2010. They informed us the compressor of the A/C needs to be changed as its not working. They asked me to lodge a complain on toll free no 180030099000 mentioning my complain. As it was under 5 yr warranty period they said the compressor will be changed but i have to pay for the compressor gas Rs.2500.00.

However i lodged the complain on 01.06.2010 calling the toll free no.They registered my complain and gave me my complain no.10060826380001. The same day i called in Ranchi Office on 0651-2341049 as i was told by the service center person they gave me dhanbad off no i.e 9304843834, The Dhanbad Office person told me that they have scheduled visit on Tuesday and Saturday for Bokaro, So it will be attended on Saturday.

On Saturday They didn't attended my complain on Sat. when i called Dhanbad Office in evening they informed me it will be attended on Sunday (02:00pm - 05:00pm). But Thay did not attended it on Sunday also.

Would like to lodge a complaint as to why the negligence is made in attending the complain (almost a week has passed)

why the customer should bear the charges for compressor gas replacement if the compressor itself is within warranty.

Why the company can pay for the new compressor and not for the new compressor gas?

Would request you kindly look into this and have it taken up further with the company.
