Hello,

We have purchased an Onida A/C 1.5 ton,model# ONI-W018 worth Rs 16700.00 (including 4KVA Stablizer) on 13/06/2007. Just 1 month back after 3 yrs,the compressor of the A/C stopped working.

When got it checked thru Onida Engineers,they informed the compressor needs to be changed as its not working.

The company is ok to change the compressor as the compressor is still witihin the warranty of 5 yrs,however the company is asking us to pay for the compressor gas, Rs 2500.00.

Would like to lodge a complaint as to why the customer should bear the charges for compressor gas replacement if the compressor itself is within warranty.

Why the company can pay for the new compressor and not for the new compressor gas?

Would request you kindly look into this and have it taken up further with the company.
