samsung window AC

    Unhappy samsung window AC

    I registered a complaint with Samsung' s toll free no. for serving my window AC less than a month ago as the AC was not having cooling effect upto the mark. This was the only complaint. Otheriwse the AC was in perfect condition. The Co's autorised service engineer, Sai Services took the window AC to their premises and serviced the AC on 17/10/2011 & returned it for which they charged Rs.2400/- + Rs.275/- for filling up the gas inside and transportation costs. After it was serviced by the said engineer, AC's cooling effect became OK, but the panel in which power,timer and other buttons were housed, was not fixed up properly again. As a result, when we try to switch on the AC through power button, the whole panel went inside, a new trouble which we never experienced before. Also, the swing was not moving to its full capacity. When we enquired with Sai Services, their service engineer again came but they said this is Company's manufacturing defect! We were surprised by their mindless answer because the AC was otherwise in perfect order except for the cooling effect. We again contacted the Samsung Co through their toll free no. But they said that to send their service engineer to my home, they will charge again, for which I objected and said that I would lodge a complaint with consumer redressal forum. They now budged and said they will not charge for service engineer's visit but I will have to pay for spare parts which they may replace. I asked them why should I pay for the problem which was not existing before and was created only after the AC went for servicing and came back. This is the kind of service provided by the authorised engineers(!) of a reputed Co. like Samsung and the reckless manner in which they charge the hapless consumers for no fault of them or the machine. I will get back to you after the service engineer's reply. I hope this website will provide some kind of relief to my agony and put a full stop to these kind of practices by the so-called reputed companies.

    It is certainly the worst, a middle class person can go through. However, don't worry. Samsung is one of the most reputed names in the industry so this behavior of their's cannot be accepted. You should file a legal complaint. And then when you feel like buying a new ac then go for brands like Daikin India, Haier, Career etc.

    I completely agree with you Ms. ShilpaJha' .... I too would say that "It is certainly the worst, a middle class person can go through but don't you worry and you must file a legal complaint. And then when you feel like buying a new ac then go for brands like Daikin India, Haier, Career etc.
