I have purchased a window AC from dealer ' SHAM LAL KRISHAN LAL' (Authorised CSD Dealer) ,1/206/28, Sadar Bazar, Delhi Cantt 10. ph number 25691123, 25691108. the purchase was made on 28 jun 2010. on 29 Jun 2010 the AC malfunctioned and has stopped working. on my approaching the dealer i was told that they only sell the products and will not replace it.
Along with the AC i had also purchased a stablizer which also was faulty and was replaced by the dealer the next day.
The dealer has refused to take my calls or even attend to me when i visited their showroom.
I lodged a complaint with the LG Call center also on 30 jun 2010. their service person visited my place and told that the AC is faulty as it has no gas and also the controll pannel is damaged. The representative , Mr Mukesh called up on 02 july ( number 9654141237) and has told that it is peak summers so i should not ask for a replacement of the AC rather i should have it repaired. On insistance from me that I have made cash payment for a new AC and not for a repaired AC hence i want a replacement, they have told me that it will take 2 to 3 weeks for a replacement.
i want your forums help and advise on the option i should take. My submission is that I have paid for a new AC and on delivery the AC has malfunctioned within one day of delivery. The Show room and the LG Company has refused to replace the AC forthwith. In the heat conditions of delhi my children and wife have to make do without an AC inspite of my making a full payment for the same.
