I bought Sony LCD 32 inch TV from the authorized dealers of Sony in Managalore-575006. This was in Oct 2008. Now we are having issues in the TV which pictures are distorted and ghost like screening. I complained to sony service center and the engineer has said that we need to replace the panel and it will cost Rs. 10,800/-.

If this is the life of a brand like Sony and paying a premium to them does not make sense. I dont see any need to go for the name of Sony and get ripped off. Even the typical TVs of other companies have better products. I have seen multiple complaints of this in this site itself. So what is Sony going to do about this?
