I have purchased Videocon V 1602 handset at PLANET-M, at uttarahalli Main Road, Bangalore on 28.7.2010 . Suddenly on 16.8.2010, the set could not be switched on. I contacted PLANET-M and they said the set could not be replaced till the service centre recommends for replacement, and hence directed me to take the set to their authorised centre situated at SERVICE POINT, No.652, I floor, 11th Main, Jayanagar 4th block, Bangalore. I then went to the service centre and handed over the set for repair/service on 18th August 2010. The acknowledgement receipt number is 4061.Till this date, the set has not been repaired. On enquiring, they are replying that a component is not available and the repair will be delayed. The service centre is not giving me the correct informations also, and I am unable to understand whether the set itself is defective. They speak very arrogantly when I contact them over phone. There is no person to give me correct information. It is very ridiculous that for a mobile which is costing around Rs.4000/- it is so difficult to get the components even after 15 days. Till this date also I have not received and they are not telling how long it may take for repair.
When the PLANET-M is contacted, they are not ready to help me out also. They just say that they will speak to the service centre and thereafter no action is taken. They are not giving replacement also.
As the servicing is not being done for such a long period I think the problem basically lies with the default in the set and it might be defective. I will be much obliged if I can get the replacement immediately as I had gifted to someone and I am in a very vulnerable position.
Please solve this problem immediately.
