I had purchased a refrigerator (310 Ltr, Professional Deluxe) from a Whirlpool dealer on 11th September 2011.
Within the 1st month of purchase, the fruits/vegetables kept in the lower shelf used to get frost/ice cover on the top (at 1 level of regulator) and it started to make a huge noise when the compressor used to start.
Thereafter, I lodged a complaint with the dealer who directed me to Whirlpool India. I complained to Whirlpool India (Complaint no DL1211004673) and they had informed me that they will look into the matter and revert.
Subsequently company engineers used to come & used to do tricky things to temporarily fix the problem, i.e. used to fix a cotton, newspaper, cardboard etc.
I got amazed to see the quality of engineers hired for fixing technical problems.
I repeatedly informed the customer care about the same but they used to utter the same word – “Sir now a senior engineer would visit your place”. But the same story continues till date.
My son is barely 3 months old and he gets scared & starts crying in the night due to noise. Hence we switch off the fridge in the night.
Till date 6 people/engineers visited our place but no luck.
Our old fridge was also Whirlpool but it never created any problem but I think the current product is a faulty one. And if I’m facing problem during the warranty period then post warranty only God knows what will happen.
Being a brand new refrigerator(3 months old) it should not get repaired, as old refrigerators need repairing. I replaced my old Whirlpool refrigerator with a new one to reduce problems but vice-versa happened.
Not expected from a company like Whirlpool stature to do things like this.
Now I want refund of my money.
