Airtel Satyapaul

by sanjbahl on February 11, 2013

Recently we have received Satya Paul Promo coupon for Airtel cusotmers. This special privilege from Satya Paul claims that if we take the coupon we will get an exclusive handcrafted tie worth Rs.2000/- from the latest Satya Paul Collection and Satya Paul gift Voucher together worth Rs.5000/-. With a payment of Rs. 299/- The reality is that if you go to Satya Paul outlet the staff will show you a selected range which is already packed specially for this offer and the ties inside are not from the latest collection. This offer is a complete eyewash. The ties are all old designs, poor quality and very limited stock . One has to choose from the stock that has been set aside for this offer. it looks like they want to get rid of the old stock. if you personally check it is a very big disappointment. SatyaPaul is known for its design and exclusivity, I am shocked to see what they are doing to their reputation. Instaed of creating customer they will loose them , I love their collection but if this is how they present them selves its very disappointing.

The problem the statment where they claim this to be the “latest collection” and handcrafted, it is no way near to what they claim

Then once you open the packet there are two coupns worth three thousand where in to avail that you will have to buy their product and then you can get Rs.2000/- off on sarees, silksuits, handbags, kurtis and Rs.1000/- valid on clutches, ladies wallets, strols, scarfs, mens tie comboset and cotton suit sets

Customer should be given proper clarity on offers so that they can go with a clear mindset and know what to expect.

Thankyou for sharing this information, airtel is really a cheater, i called them thrice for gathering information regarding this message but every time they says that i have to pay only Rs. 299, even i was wondering how come i became so prestigious customer of airtel. Its no where mentioned that for getting other rs. 2000 coupon first you have to spend rs. 3000 from your pocket.

I normally delete all Promo offers as more often than not, they are baits for purchases. But being an Airtel customer for 11 years, and knowing Satyapaul was a well known brand, I paid 299 expecting something spectacular.
But then as the rule goes, there are no free lunches. Why would anyone part with their hard earned 3000 bucks + another 2000 for a tie for your meagre 299? :)
While I expected one of those beautiful ties shown in that promo, I recieved a ultra cheap looking red striped tie that I would wear for a fancy dress competition.
And for those coupons, I am mailing to the creative marketing folks of Airtel. Let them take their families to Satyapaul and treat themselves. And please read the disclaimer at the end of the promo. You’d want to hit yourselves on your heads for even reading it!!

Even I have paid Rs.299/- It is almost a month there was no response either from Airtel or from Satya Paul – When I tried tracking the parcel – the courier service said the address is not traceable. When contacted Airtel – they are just buying time to investigate

I have purchased it online too and it’s been 2 months that i have been following up with them without any response. DTDC tracker never works the satyapaul customer care lady puts me on voicemail and no response on the email either. the DTDC guys call me that they are delivering but never deliver. Even if it’s a small amount it matters a lot to me to be wasted in drain..

Does anyone has solution to this? It would be kind to help get out of this situation.

thanks!

I do agree that Satya Paul Airtel ptomo offer
is an excercise in cheating by SstyaPaul. I dont
know what Airtel are gaining? . I ended up buying
a tie after paying 299 bucks as ‘handling’ charges.
Products on so called offer are priced at loot level.

Just a foolish offer… Agencies should take note of this kind of eye wash offers floated solely for gaining cheap publicity. Airtel is advised to desist from such offers as this brings bad image to a set brand like Airtel….

Hi,

I actually came across all these comments today. I too have received the same offer. To start with I see some mails which said the ties could be chosen, I was not given even that option. Even if I leave that apart and ignore the ‘hidden’ terms and conditions for various options available against the vouchers its still a big problem. I have tried using the voucher online 2-3 times and believe me its irritating (nobody has the patience today to try and redeem over and over again) each time I have tried using it a typical message comes up:
Error:The promotion code that you have entered is either invalid or already redeemed. Please try again after 10 minutes.
Even if one tries after 10 minutes (which is so bugging, I actually tried it to see and be sure before I put a formal complaint) but still it does not work.. but I really want to take this up now as this is a complete case of fraud and cheating from two big brands- Satyapaul and Airtel. Hope we get some sort of result after taking this up in this forum now.

Who looses and who gains!!!!

There is nothing called as “Free Lunch” Its just a marketing gimmick.

Never get lured with such offers, they are not going to take us any where.

Same here. I got one today. I am subscribed for ebills generally. Out of the blue they send me a paper bill with this voucher. I thought something fishy. Searched in google and landed up here. Its a waste of money for sure.

I have got this offer, on visiting the online shop , it was disappointing to see everything priced in $ instead of Rs. this becomes exsorbarantly high priced , cheaper and better items are available on online / Malls / Silk stores. The offer in Bangalore is only at Mantri Mall and UB City
Request Airtel to give offers that are attractive and redeemable and accessable.

The minimum you have to purchase for 1000 is 2500 and for 2000 it is 5o00. you surely will endup paying more than vouchers. This is fraud, don’t fall for it.

I do not know what is everyone talking about.
There is a proper website where you can select our tie and get it delivered to your doorstep.
The ties are good. I ordered around 08 ties in total and all of them delivered. only one tie was wrong order, and airtel readily agreed to exchange it. the only thing is i had to go to the satya paul store and get it exchanged. and better still i got a much better tie.
299/- is worth it for these ties. ther are microfiber and not silk if anyone thinks so.
cheers.
